Mustafizur reaches 50-wicket landmark in T20 cricket

Mustafizur Rahman, a prodigy in Bangladesh cricket, unlocked another milestone by dismissing Kings XI Punjab’s opener Murali Vijay on Sunday (May 15) in ongoing IPL.
This was his 50th wicket in T20 career and ‘The Fizz’ reached the milestone playing just 35 match with an outstanding average of 16.42.
Besides, Mustafizur has a brilliant economy rate of just 6.13 which is considered extremely well in terms of T20 cricket.
Mustafiz ended his bowling spell as 4-0-32-1 and helped his team to seal a comfortable 7-wicket win against Kings XI Punjab.
With his devastating cutters and variation of pace, Mustafizur gave hard time to a number of top class batsman including Virat Kohli, ABD Villiers and Brendon Mccullum.
He was behind West Indian spinners Samuel Badree who currently possessed the best economy rate, Sunil Narine, Pakistan’s Raza Hasan, India’s Padmanabhan Prasanth, South Africa’s Cliffe Deacon, and Sri Lanka’s Rangana Herath.
Scotland’s Majid Haque also took 52 wickets in 40 matches at an economy rate of 6.13 but he didn’t play tough domestic cricket like IPL or Big Bash.
Mustafizur scalped 22 wickets in 13 T20 International while the rest of the 28 wickets came in 22 T20 matches. He snapped up 14 wickets in 12 IPL matches to stay in the fourth position in the bowling chart as of now.
