Covid-19: Bangladesh records single-day highest death

Bangladesh reported 119 more deaths from coronavirus in the last 24 hours, which is the single-day highest death toll from the deadly virus so far, raising the total number of deaths to 14,172 across the country.
Besides, some 5,268 new cases were detected over the same period, raising the total number of infected cases to 8,88,406 across the country so far.
A press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) confirmed the development on Sunday (June 27).Besides, a total of 3,249 Covid-19 patients made recoveries in the last 24 hours, bringing the total recoveries to 8,04,103 the release said.
