Gas tariff again up by 22.7%The average gas tariff has been increased again by 22.7 percent.

Monwar Hossain, chairman of Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC), came up with the disclosure at a press briefing around 4:30pm at BERC’s Karwanbazar office in this regard.

According to BERC , household single and double burners price will be Tk 750 and Tk 800 from March 1 while Tk 900 and 950 from June 1 respectively.

Price of compressed natural gas (CNG), used for automobiles, has also been raised.

From Mar 1, a cubic metre of CNG will cost Tk 38 while Tk 40 from Jun 1.
