BNP out to make EC controversial : ObaidulRoad Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader has said that the BNP was trying to make the newly constituted Election Commission controversial sensing its defeat in the upcoming national election.

"The BNP is apprehending of another defeat in the upcoming national election like the Narayangang city polls. So, the party is out to make the EC controversial," said the minister while addressing a public meeting of Chittagong's Patiya upazila AL on Saturday.

The Awami League General Secretary alleged that the BNP had earlier also tried to make the search committee controversial.

Terming BNP as an old party of complaint, Obaidul Quader said, "They are completely bewildered now. The party can take to street, hold meeting and procession with its big central committee  if they have courage.
