The newly-constructed 10-storey office building of Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) was inaugurated at Agargaon of Sher-e-Bangla Nagar in the capital today.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina opened the new office building of the BSEC by unveiling its plaque this morning.

Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith and SEC Chairman Dr M Khairul

Hossain were present on the occasion, among others.

The own office building of the regulatory body of the country's stock

markets has been constructed at a cost of Tk 60 crore.

The prime minister laid the foundation stone of the building on November 24 in 2013.

With the construction of the building, the long-cherished dream for the own building of the SEC has been fulfilled.

The fully-air conditioned BSEC building is expected to play an important role in increasing the efficiency of the officials and employees of the SEC side by side with enhancing dignity of the institution.
