Bangladesh declares two days of national mourning

Bangladesh has declared two days of national mourning after a suspected Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) militants attacked on Holey Artisan restaurant in the capital’s Gulshan, killing 28 people including that of 20 hostages, mostly foreigners.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, in a televised address, announced the nationwide program to commemorate the death of the hostages.

The Premier started delivering her address at 7.45 pm on Saturday.
