Inter Service Public Relations Directorate (ISPR) will brief the media on Saturday afternoon about the hostage crisis at the country’s diplomatic zone Gulshan in the city.

The briefing will be held Dhaka Cantonment around 12.30pm, said a press release of ISPR.

 Two senior police officials were killed and around 53 people, including several policemen, were injured in an exchange of gunfire between police and gunmen who stormed a Spanish restaurant in the city’s Gulshan area on Friday night and took the people inside hostage.

Bringing an end to a nerve-racking situation of around 12 hours, security forces completed their commando drive to rescue the hostages around 9.30am on Saturday, reports unb.
