Bank money looters won’t be spared: ACC Chairman

Chairman of the Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) Iqbal Mahmood on Thursday said those who have plundered money from public and private banks will not be spared.

 

“We want to fight against corruption taking people with us. Our fight is against them who misappropriate people’s property,” news agency UNB quoted the ACC chairman while speaking at a programme of Corruption Resistance Committee as the Chief Guest at the circuit house.

 

He also said the prevention of corruption in education and health sectors are also getting priority along with banking sector. “There’s no government pressure on the ACC. We’re working independently. We won’t spare anybody,” said Iqbal.

 

Director General of ACC Dr Mohammad Shamsul Arefin, Chittagong Divisional Commissioner Mohammad Ruhul Amin, CMP Commissioner Md Iqbal Bahar and Dean of Social Science Faculty of Chittagong University Dr Mohammad Abul Hossain were present at the programme.
