Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on Thursday quizzed three army members as a part of investigation over the case of slain Victoria College student Sohagi Jahan Tonu.

Earlier, the CID team collected some evidence from the spot from where the body of Tonu recovered.

Sources at the CID Comilla office said the three army men were interrogated inside Comilla Cantonment at noon.

The interrogation team was headed by Additional Superintendent of Police Pranab Kumar Roy while the investigation officer of the case CID Inspector Gazi Mohammad Ibrahim and Inspector Md Shahnewaz were present.

The three army men -- one sergeant and two corporals -- collected the evidence from the crime scene and later handed those over to sub-inspector Saiful Islam of Kotwali Model Police Station.

Tonu, 19-year-old, a second-year history student of Comilla Victoria College and a cultural activist, was found dead near her house inside Comilla Cantonment area on the night of March 20.

Later, Tonu's father, Yar Hossain filed a murder case with Comilla Kotawali Police Station.
