BD, Kuwait agree to fight terrorism jointly
Terming terrorism and extreme violence as a "great challenge" for the Muslim Ummah, Bangladesh and Kuwait agreed to work together against these menace.
The two countries also reached a consensus to further expand cooperation in the fields of economy, investment, trade, energy, manpower, military and ICT, reports BSS.
The consensus came during officials talks between the two countries held at the Prime Minister's Office this afternoon.
Visiting Kuwaiti Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah led the Kuwaiti side, while the Bangladesh side was headed by Premier Sheikh Hasina.
Earlier, the two leaders had a tete-e-tete for about 15 minutes at the same place.
Foreign Secretary Md Shahidul Haque briefed reporters after the talks. PM's Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim was also present on the occasion.
The foreign secretary said the talks were held in a warm and cordial atmosphere focusing on the entire gamut of bilateral cooperation.
