Reception accorded to Sayem Sobhan
Sayem Sobhan Anvir, Managing Director of Bashundhara Group, cuts a cake at a reception accorded to him by Bangladesh Media Club at the office of the club in the capital’s Tejgaon area on Tuesday.-

Bangladesh Media Club has accorded a reception to Sayem Sobhan Anvir, Managing Director of East West Media Group Ltd and Bashundhara Group on Tuesday.

The reception programme was arranged at the club office at Tejgaon in the capital on the occasion of his birth day.

State Minister for Jute and Textile Mirza Azam, Deputy Minister for Environment and Forest Abdullah Al Islam Jacob, Awami League central leader Alauddin Ahmed Chowdhury Nasim, BNP organizing secretary advocate Ruhul Kuddus Talukder Dulu, BNP leader Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Iqbal, lawmaker Md Ibrahim, president of Dhaka (south) city unit of Jubo League Ismail Chowdhury Samrat, general secretary of Jubo League (north) Ismail Hossain and Chhatra League central  vice president  Hafizur Rahman Sajib spoke at the programme wishing him healthy, long life.

Bangladesh Media Club president Naem Nizam, general secretary Ashok Chowdhury and club member Rahul Raha also spoke on the occasion.  

The event was moderated by television presenter Hasan Ahmed Chowdhury Kiron.

On this occasion, birthday wishes were given by Kaler Kantho editor Imdadul Haq Milon, daily sun acting editor Amir Hossain, Kaler Kantho executive editor Mostofa Kamal, daily sun executive editor Shiabur Rahman, president of Dhaka Union of Journalists Saban Mahmud. Besides, senior journalists of different media wished him with flowers.

Expressing his gratitude, Sayem Sobhan Anvir said, “I will continue my works for the better future.  We want Bangladesh to move forward.”

State Minister for Jute and Textile Mirza Azam said that the Bashundhara Group has showed interest in purchasing three lakh jute bags every month. It is a very positive initiative to come forward for the universal use of jute by any private organization.
